We Bought A Zoo: Love, Comedy and Happiness

Cameron Crowe’s latest offering is simply a delight to behold. We Bought A Zoo is based on the true story of Benjamin Mee, a journalist who decides to leave his city life and start all over by buying a zoo in rural California.

Starring Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Thomas Haden Church and notably Elle Fanning, the movie can at times be an absolute tear-jerker whilst also delivering the perfect elements of comedy that make it a delight to watch. With heartbreaking and heartwarming performances from the likes of 7 year-old Maggie Elizabeth Jones, the viewer is truly swept up in a whirlwind of emotion as Benjamin Mee (portrayed by Damon) comes to terms with the fact his life has been turned upside down following the death of his wife.

Yours truly will happily admit the film made one laugh, cry and captivate, whilst also simply making you happy. Congrats to Cameron Crowe for delivering another beautiful film you can be extremely proud of.
