Movie of the Week: The Muppets

Hi Boys and Girls!

It’s Sunday which means it’s time for my favourite Movie of the Week….and this week I am privileged to announce that’s it’s The Muppets!!!!

Kermit The Frog, Animal, Miss Piggy.....they are BACK!

The Muppets is a 2011 American musical comedy film, the first Muppets theatrical release in 12 years, as well as the first Disney-produced Muppets film since 1996’s Muppet Treasure Island.

Awww....so awesome!!

In the film, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his brother Gary and Gary’s girlfriend Mary must raise $10 million to save the Muppet Theater from Tex Richman, a businessman who plans to demolish the Muppet Theater to drill for oil.

The film is directed by James Bobin, written by Segel and Nicholas Stoller, produced by Martin Baker, David Furnish, Segel, David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman, and John Scotti, and features Bret McKenzie as the music supervisor.

And can I say, not in a very very very VERY long time has a movie made me laugh, smile and chuckle so much in such a long time. I was even trying to sing along with all the songs it made so happy! A truly brilliant film made in a perfect Disney style. Truly fantastic!

Jason Segel stars as Gary...he co-wrote the movie too!

Amy Adams stars as Mary...she's going to be Lois Lane in the next Superman movie!

Director James Bobin with new muppet Gary.....James also directed Da Ali G Show!

The film features music written by Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords….!

And in a special treat for you…..here’s the single from movie “Man or Muppet” by Bret McKenzie:

Hugs and Kisses
